This painting is a view of the rear of South Station in Boston, MA and the T stop in front of the transit hub, as taken from the bridge that leads across the Fort Point Channel. The small black building in the shadows (the second building from the right side of the painting) has been for sale for a number of years and the artist frequently dreams of owning this building. She painted it black because this color in paintings is often a symbol of a “secret.”
